Spreadex Sports previews the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League fixture between Man Utd and Newcastle. The Red Devils' up-and-down form of late was compounded by defeat to Aston Villa last time out, denting their top-four ambitions.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are also in the midst of a mixed run of results. Having led Chelsea 2-0 last time out, the Magpies squandered the three points in a 2-2 draw which has left them in 11th position.

In the lone league fixture played on Boxing Day, who will claim the points in Manchester?

What time is kick-off for Man Utd v Newcastle?
8pm, UK time.

Man Utd v Newcastle betting FORM

The home side come into this one with relatively strong form on their own patch this campaign, although that has been degraded over the last month with two disappointing draws and a defeat to ten-man Everton.

On top of that, Ruben Amorim's side came away empty-handed last time out against Aston Villa, although perhaps that result will be mitigated when taking into account Villa's ten-match winning run.

Newcastle's season has been a strange one in which several strong results have been undermined by disappointing defeats away from home - will that continue here?

WHAT ARE THE BEST ODDS ON Man Utd v Newcastle?

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Man Utd as very slight 6/4 favourites to secure a victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has the Red Devils at 11/8.

The Magpies have had the upper hand in recent H2Hs, winning four of the last five meetings (one defeat). Of the last ten, Utd have won just three times, with two draws.

With only four of the last ten meetings seeing Both Teams Scoring, you can back Both to Score - No at 6/4 here.

Man Utd v Newcastle FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Man Utd/Newcastle -0.1 - 0.1. This means if Utd won 3-1 (or by any other two goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.1 would mean a return of 1.9x your initial stake.

However, if you bought at 0.1 in Utd's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.1x your stake. Or, if Newcastle were to grab a 1-0 (or any other one goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -1 and a buy at 0.1 would result in a loss of 1.1x your opening stake.

You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3.05 - 3.25. So a 3.25 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 3.05 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.25 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.25x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
