Aston Villa v Brighton Betting Form

Aston Villa dropped yet more points at the weekend and any hopes of a title charge look to be over now for Unai Emery’s men. Villa have lost to Brentford and drawn with Bournemouth in their last two and will be desperate to get back on track on Wednesday with teams lower down the table closing in. They’ll be hosting Brighton who are also on a poor run of form – can Villa get back to winning ways in this one?

ASTON VILLA LEAGUE FORM

DRAW: Bournemouth 1-1 Aston Villa - 7th February 2026
LOSS: Aston Villa 0-1 Brentford – 1st February 2026
WIN: Newcastle 0-2 Aston Villa – 25th January 2026

Brighton are also coming off a disappointing run of games, having failed to win their last five games. The Seagulls lost a dreary game to Crystal Palace on Sunday, with the home fans booing Fabian Hurzeler’s side at full time after a poor display. Whilst not in any imminent relegation danger, Brighton’s hopes of pushing for European football look to be almost over. They will need to turn things around quickly if they are to get anything out of this Premier League season.

BRIGHTON LEAGUE FORM

LOSS: Brighton 0-1 Crystal Palace - 8th February 2026
DRAW: Brighton 1-1 Everton – 31st January 2026
LOSS: Fulham 2-1 Brighton – 24th January 2026

You can also back them in our 2 Up Early Payout market at 5/6, which pays out if your team goes up by two goals at any point.

ASTON VILLA V BRIGHTON FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Spreadex also has a number of spread betting markets for Wednesday’s clash. Our “Goal Supremacy” market has Villa favoured by 0.45-0.65 goals. This means if you expect Villa to win, you can “buy” and if you expect either a draw or Brighton to win, you can “sell”.

Our popular “Total Goals” market is currently set at 2.85-3.05. This is for the total number of goals scored in the match by both teams. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you can “buy” on this market. You would then need at least four goals in the game to turn a profit, with this winning 0.95x your stake, a five-goal game winning 1.95x your stake, and so on. However, if there were three goals or fewer in the match, you would lose money, with a goalless draw losing you 3.05x your stake.

If you expect a lower-scoring affair, you would “sell”. In this case, you would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit. A 0-0 draw would win you 2.85 times your stake if you sold, but if we saw a high-scoring 4-3 result, you would lose 4.15 times your stake.
